Opening Reception • Thuan Vu: Kintsugi in the New World

Celebrate the opening of Thuan Vu: Kintsugi in the New World with an evening reception at the Museum.

Kintsugi in the New World is a dynamic new series of paintings from Thuan Vu, an artist and professor from New Haven, CT.  Drawn from Vu’s Kintsugi flower series, these paintings explore the Japanese philosophy of placing value on that which has been broken and repaired, whether it be an object or person. Kintsugi finds beauty in the scars and cracks that remain with us upon healing from any sort of trauma, be they physical, psychic, and/or emotional.

Cost: Members Free / Non-Members $10

RSVP to 860.443.2545 ext. 2129 or email us.Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
